Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that moment. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes at her particular events.
